As we said goodbye to another summer, we were steadily shipping out soft red winter Wheat to make way for corn and soybeans. We received some soybeans prior to the heavy rain event but harvest has yet to start in earnest. The last few days of the month and early October will bring a hustle of activity as many soybeans and corn fields will be harvested while weather cooperates.

Products

Mapleview Grain takes great care to ensure our products are of the highest possible quality in order to provide value to all end users. From spring planting, throughout the growing season and on to harvest, drying, handling and conditioning the Mapleview team monitors every process with the latest technology in order to meet our high standards.

Corn

Corn is arguably the most versatile crop in the world largely due to it’s ability to efficiently convert solar radiation and carbon dioxide into starch. This makes it a perfect candidate to produce ethanol, glucose, dextrose, and livestock feed. It is also used to produce all sorts of polymers, plastics, cosmetics and more.

Soybeans

Another highly versatile crop, soybeans are rich in protein and can be used to make food products such as vegetable oil, tofu, soy milk and various dairy and meat substitutes. In addition, they can be used to produce livestock feed, biodiesel, lubricants, waxes, inks and even automobile components. Mapleview Grain handles both food-grade and crusher soybeans.

Winter Wheat

Wheat is one of the first domesticated and most important of the cereal crops. It is typically milled into flour which is then used to make a wide range of foods including bread, crumpets, muffins, noodles, pasta, biscuits, cakes, pastries and cereals. Mapleview Grain handles Soft Red Winter Wheat and Hard Red Winter Wheat.
